frequently asked questions
- What kind of terrain can I expect? What's the pace of skiing?
At Monashees, expect tree skiing in giant old growth trees, and steep, north-facing consistently steep pitched runs that just keep going and going.
This tenure is best for skiers who prefer a fast pace.
- How do I get to Monashee Lodge?
There are a number of ways you can get to the lodge. If you want to ride in one of the CMH coaches, you can download our arrival/departure travel information PDF; if you’d prefer to drive yourself to the helipad, download our self-driving map. - What does the first day look like?
Upon arrival at the lodge, you will have some time to explore and get settled in your room - but not too settled! Now would be a good time to bring your boots to the shop to fit for skis/snowboard so you are ready to go. Dress warmly and meet in the skier entrance where our experienced guides will lead you through a safety and transceiver practice for approximately one hour. Spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing at your leisure. You will hear a bell when dinner is ready at 7:00PM. Enjoy your evening and rest up for your first day of skiing in the morning! There is no skiing/riding on your first day at the Monashees.
- How do I cancel my trip?
Visit the Insurance/Cancellation page to view our full cancellation policy.
- Is there Wi-Fi/cell service at the lodge? Do you have phones at the lodges?
