We have a bold vision to be the leading sustainable tourism company in North America. With over 50 years of experience, we understand and appreciate how privileged we are to operate in the remote mountain locations we call home.
Our founder, Hans Gmoser, was a committed environmentalist and community leader long before the green revolution. He instilled the sense of stewardship that runs through the company today - an important value for both our new and more experienced employees.
Continuing our 14 year journey toward sustainability, we work with key partners to ensure that the incredible places we share with our guests remain as naturally-functioning ecosystems for our children and grandchildren.

We work, live and play in communities in south-eastern British Columbia and Alberta’s Bow Valley. With the support of these communities our goal is to ensure that vibrant and sustainable health, wellness and educational facilities are available to local residents, our staff and our guests.
Our strength is people, talented, caring and passionate about mountain adventure. When we combine that strength with the incredible places to which we have access, we have an incredible opportunity to engage and empower those who need a helping hand.
OUTWARD BOUND CANADA

Our mission to offer people of every age and ability the opportunity to experience mountain adventure perfectly aligns with their mission to empower inspire and challenge through journeys of self-discovery in the natural world. Last year we hosted two courses - Rocky Mountain Veterans’ at the Bugaboos and Women of Courage Alumni at Bobbie Burns. We look forward to more exploration this summer.
