Powder 505: The Steeps for skiers and snowboarders looking for a challenge on seriously steep terrain. The trip runs in late April in the Cariboos , when snow conditions are most stable and days are longer, offering better access to challenging terrain.
A Message from Dave Gauley - Powder 505 Professor
For this trip, you should be comfortable on steep ski resort terrain. We start slow and small, where the consequences of a fall are mellow, not getting on anything really big until the guides have a chance to assess your ability and confidence. We also give instruction on how to handle various conditions we encounter – like adjusting your fall line to avoid getting tangled up in your own slough. We ski some great lines, but always allow a margin for error.
Seeking the most challenging terrain available on any given day, we offer expert coaching, finding lines that allow you to develop your skills without compromising your safety.
