Step aside, 21-year old daredevils. Thanks to new-generation equipment, you're not the only ones with an appetite for dramatic cascades and big air. Powder 401: Steep Shots and Pillow Drops, our new freeride program has been designed by the guiding teams at CMH Kootenay and CMH Revelstoke. These trips are for advanced skiers who want to learn how to maximize the use of just about any kind of terrain: it could be finding the steeper, big lines in huge open features, or it could be finding the sweet zone in a glade with the ability to trampoline from one snow mushroom to the next in total control. If you want to find the best line in every run you make, this is the course for you. The overall goal of this program is to learn how to get the most dynamic and fun skiing out of whatever mountain terrain you are skiing in on any given run.

Prerequisites: You must be a strong, confident skier or rider – comfortable on double black diamond runs at resorts like Whistler and Jackson Hole and able to cope with tighter terrain (i.e. couloirs).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Helmets are mandatory for all participants.

Details: The trips are limited to 9 skiers/riders with 2 guides in Kootenay and 10 skiers with 2 guides in Revelstoke. A Bell 212 helicopter will be shared with the other skiers/riders at CMH Kootenay and CMH Revelstoke. Additional skiing above the 21,780 vertical metres (71,000 vertical feet) guaranteed vertical is $110/1,000 metres (3,280 vertical feet).
