CMH has been taking guests Heli-Skiing for over 40 years. Over time, we've evolved our Heli-Ski program to offer you more choices, and we continue to add new trips to our roster each year. For details about our different options, see below. Then, check availability.
We operate our standard heli-ski trips of varying lengths out of our 12 Heli-Ski lodges. Each lodge is unique in its setting, and each lodge offers CMH guests access to the world's greatest deep powder skiing amidst spectacular wilderness scenery.
At most lodges, we ski in groups of 11 skiers with one guide, based on ability level and desire – adjustments to groups may be made as required. Our skillful and experienced guides are expert at finding spectacular terrain to suit all levels of skier.
Depending on conditions, we typically start the ski day around 9:00 am and end around 4:00 pm with an outdoor lunch break. Opportunities to return to the lodge may be available throughout the day.
We recommend Powder Intro for skiers ready to make the transition into off-piste skiing as quickly as possible. Powder Intro groups comprise ten skiers who work with two specially-trained guides, allowing for practical instruction while skiing and, if necessary, splitting the group according to ability. Powder Intro weeks are offered throughout the season.

Our passion for Heli-Skiing does not fade, even as our knees, backs and other bio-mechanical hot-spots show signs of wear. We designed our Powder Masters program, under the expert direction of Roko Koell, to keep our guests on the slopes for as long as the spirit is willing.
Powder Masters emphasizes quality of over quantity of skiing. Two guides and a maximum of ten guests per group ensure a high level of personal attention. Powder Masters weeks are offered throughout the season.

Kootenay gets mounds of deep powder every year, and we offer fit, strong skiers a chance to enjoy it to its fullest. Powder Max has three groups of five skiers, each with a guide and supported by a Bell 407 six-passenger helicopter. This makes for quick lifts and opportunities to ski challenging lines.
Additional skiing above the guarantee is $115/1,000 metres (3,280 feet) and refunds are $120/1,000 metres (3,280 feet).
Note: CMH now offer 3-, 4-, and 7-day options.

We can't control the conditions for any given week, so we now offer our Pay As You Play program. This trip allows you to pay only for what YOU choose to ski -- as much or as little as you want, and as conditions permit. Your initial cost covers accommodation, meals and services. You are only charged based on how much you ski.
Trips come with no guaranteed footage, and you will be charged to ski at a rate of $128/1,000 metres (3,280 vertical feet).
Please note: We create several opportunities to return to the lodge throughout the day, but cannot guarantee a ride in after every run.
CMH now offers 3-, 4- and 7-day trips during Pay As You Play weeks.

To sum up Flex Week, you choose the trip length and we accommodate. CMH Revelstoke hosts a Flex Week each year, where guests join us for 2, 3, 5 or 8 day trips.
Our 2009 Flex Week will run from March 31 - April 8, 2009.
Our Family Trips are designed for families with 12- to 17-year old skiing kids.
Families begin the day skiing together, but kids can return to the lodge when they tire to participate in various fun, supervised indoor and outdoor activities. In the evening, our chefs cook up a grand family dinner, with special meals for the kids. On Christmas morning, families share time around a beautiful tree with gifts for everyone in the lodge.

In March 2009, TransWorld and CMH team up for Shred Sessions at CMH's Galena Lodge. This trip is open to anyone with strong riding skills and an appetite for powder. You shred the terrain of your dreams along with a legendary pro, CMH guides, and the Transworld crew.
Nick Hamilton will be there (on his 185 swallowtail) to document the action; slide shows go down midweek, and he'll send you home with a CD and a custom print to prove that it was real. Board giveaways, bonfires, and guaranteed vertical are all part of the deal.

Our Steep Skiing Week is designed for skiers and snowboarders looking for a challenge on seriously steep terrain. The trip runs in late April in the Cariboos , when snow conditions are most stable and days are longer, offering better access to challenging terrain.
Watch our slideshow and videos to see what kind of terrain we're talking about.
You must be a strong, confident skier or rider – comfortable on double black diamond runs at resorts like Whistler and Jackson Hole and able to cope with tighter terrain (i.e. couloirs). Seeking the most challenging terrain available on any given day, we offer expert coaching, finding lines that allow you to develop your skills without compromising your safety.

This program is designed for groups of up to 10 who wish to ski together. Private groups have exclusive use of a helicopter and two guides and have tremendous flexibility in setting the pace and choosing how much skiing they want to do.
For a fully private lodge, book at CMH Valemount, CMH McBride or CMH Silvertip : Each accommodates up to 10 skiers. Smaller groups of up to 4 can be accommodated at CMH Monashees and CMH Revelstoke; the private group shares the lodge with other CMH guests while skiing independently.

The most dynamic trip ever offered by CMH. Spanning both the Selkirk and Monashee ranges, we ski through six separate Heli-Skiing areas and cover the far reaches of each, working closely with our guiding team to avoid terrain used by other CMH programs.
Nomads travel in one group of eight skiers with three guides, one who is dedicated to snow safety and flagging landings. Decisions about where to ski on any given day depend upon weather, snow, input of local guiding teams, and other CMH groups in the areas where we are travelling. We start the week in the northern Monashees and work our way south to the Selkirks, ultimately ending in Kootenay.
The first part of the week we stay in CMH Monashee Lodge and/or CMH Adamant Lodge. The last three nights are spent at Halcyon Hot Springs Village and Spa.

February 11 - 15, 2010, join 33 other gay and lesbian skiers and snowboarders for an exclusive 4-day Heli-Ski trip to the CMH Gothics Lodge. When skiers dream, they dream of vast virgin expanses of fresh, white powder snow. Or of old growth forests with nicely spaced trees and snow unaffected by wind and sun. No crowded lift lines, no rutted slopes, no tinselly advertising – just long, free, joyous runs.
