At CMH Heli-Hiking we've been practicing safety and risk management for a long time. In more than 20 years of Heli-Hiking, we have had no flying-related injuries, and we have lost no more than a half day per season due to mechanical difficulties.
We've been happily associated with Alpine Helicopters since 1981. Alpine operates a fleet of 25 aircraft, most of them state-of-the-art Bell 212s, which we use for Heli-Hiking and Heli-Skiing. In addition to working with us, Alpine provides support for forestry, heli-seismic, arctic, air ambulance, and other vital services throughout western Canada.
All CMH Guides are fully trained, and continually retrained, in first aid and emergency procedures and prevention. Each helicopter is equipped with a comprehensive first aid kit and automatic external defibrillator.
