"Risk management at CMH is a complex process. We have to consider weather, helicopter safety, terrain, abilities, wildlife… We don’t do all this just to ensure our guests’ safety: our guides and pilots want to get home safely at the end of each day as well.
My name is Jon Bezzola, but thanks to my early days with CMH – competing with two other Jons and a Jean-Francois over a staticky radio line – I am known as Colani. I’ve been with CMH since 1975, and have been the Mountain Safety Manager since 1991, following many years of managing the Bobbie Burns Lodge.
