CMH Bobbie Burns

The Bobbie Burns takes its name from the great Scottish poet. Other than CMH guests, few have set foot on these remote mountains, some of which remain unnamed today. The land here offers hikes and walks along glorious ridgelines, through forested trails or across alpine meadows. For adrenaline-seekers, Bobbie Burns is home to the Conrad Glacier Adventure Trail and the famous Mt. Nimbus Via Ferrata, a Canadian Signature Experience.

The south-facing expansive view of the Purcell Range and Vertigo Ridge awaits you at the intimate Bobbie Burns Lodge. Nestled amid an alpine valley of soaring evergreens, this unpretentious mountain lodge provides the ideal setting for renewal and recreation, connection and conversation. While relaxing on the sun-drenched decks, the abounding wilderness that envelops this mountain sanctuary will entice you to journey both inward and outward.

Featuring 24 rooms with private baths, guests will also relish the outdoor whirlpool, sauna, game room, porch-side basketball hoops, and browsing in the quaint lodge shop. At the fireside hearth, enjoy a glass of award- winning wine from our extensive cellar collection.

CMH Bugaboos

Although the Bugaboos are renowned for their commanding granite spires, exploration here will reveal an abundance of blossoming meadows, placid icy lakes and ancient rock formations. Thrill seekers will relish the Skyladder Via Ferrata and their ascent toward the sky or a walk through time on a trek over the glaciers.

The Bugaboos got their name from a turn-of-the-20th-century gold hoax. The name alone is in part responsible for their iconic stature in the mountain world, though the credibility of this reputation cannot be doubted when one considers the stream of legendary climbers who, during the 1950s – 70s, sought first-ascents on many of these peaks. There is probably no comparably magnificent range with so few visitors in the whole of North America, if not the world.

Veiled amid a sea of emerald green flora, the Bugaboo Lodge sits at a commanding 1500 metres (nearly a mile) high. Featuring 32 rooms with private baths, a sauna, and steam room along with a game room, cozy bar/lounge area and inviting fireplace hearth. The rooftop hot tub boasts unparalleled views of this magnificent setting where your soul and surroundings will meld into one. History buffs will delight in the lodge museum featuring interpretive maps, photos, natural history exhibits and intriguing Bugaboo memorabilia.
