How long is a typical shift?
For seasonal lodge positions the typical schedule is a daily split shift, 2 weeks on 1 week off. Positions based in Banff are regularly scheduled for 8 hours/day.

Where do I live when I'm working at the lodge?
CMH provides meals and accommodation while working at the lodge. Staff are responsible for their own food and accommodation when they are not working at the lodge.

What is a typical work day like?
Fast Paced & Exciting!! And, it's all about teamwork! The phrase "that is not my job" does not fit in the CMH environment.

Is transportation to the lodge provided?
Limited seats on guest transportation are available to staff. Staff are required to reserve a seat on the bus in advance in order to catch a ride to their area of employment.

Is there a dress code at the lodges?
Our dress code reflects a casual yet professional environment with respect to our high end, international clients on a day to day basis.

What about the skiing/riding?
Although there is no guarantee, we do our best to involve staff in the skiing/riding program.

I'm not from Canada. What do I need to do to work at CMH?
You will need a valid Canadian work permit, Social Insurance Number, and Photo Identification.

I'm applying for my work permit and have been told that I need a letter of offer to obtain the permit. Can CMH do this for me?
No. CMH does not provide a letter of offer. You must apply for a Working Holiday Permit/Visa.
