<div id="vertical_container" > <h4 class="accordion_toggle"><strong>Walter Bruns</strong> - President</h4> <div class="accordion_content"> <img src="/publisher_page_images/0000/0122/about-family-admin-bruns.jpg" class= "float_left" title="about-family-admin-bruns" alt="Walter Bruns - CMH President" /><p>Walter first met Hans Gmoser at a promo night, when he was living in Toronto and completing his Master's degree in Physics. A keen skier, he decided to head west in 1978 after graduation, looking for adventure in the mountains. He first worked as a driver for CMH, and by 1983 earned his IFMGA mountain guide certification. Over the years, Walt worked as guide, area manager, construction guru, and chief operating officer -- under former presidents Hans Gmoser and Mark Kingsbury. He became president of CMH in 2001. When not thinking about hiking or skiing, Walt can be found on his ranch or sailing on the west coast.</p> </div> <h4 class="accordion_toggle"><strong>Rob Rohn</strong> - Director of Mountain Operations</h4> <div class="accordion_content"> <img src="/publisher_page_images/0000/0123/about-family-admin-rohn.jpg" class= "float_left" title="about-family-admin-rohn" alt="Rob Rohn - CMH Director of Mountain Operations" /><p>Another long time CMH-er, Rob started with CMH in 1984 as a guide and worked from 1990 – 2001 as the manager of the <a href="../../heli-skiing/lodges/lodges/bobbieburns">Bobbie Burns Lodge</a>. In 2001 he made the big leap from the field to the office, to head up Mountain Operations. Rob is an IFMGA mountain guide and an accomplished climber and mountain biker. Always calm and cool, Rob's style is inspiring and his experience is a great asset to the Administration team.</p> </div> <h4 class="accordion_toggle"><strong>Jori Guetg</strong> - Director of Hospitality Services</h4> <div class="accordion_content"> <img src="/publisher_page_images/0000/0124/about-family-admin-guetg.jpg" class= "float_left" title="about-family-admin-guetg" alt="Jori Guetg - CMH Director of Hospitality Services" /><p>A Swiss chef and chocolate-maker by trade; Jori joined CMH in 1984 and now oversees Hospitality Services as well as all major construction projects. Jori is a high-energy guy and his responsibilities take him in many directions. When not working Jori likes to savour a glass or two of fine wine and is usually running, riding, or chasing his kids around. </p> </div> <h4 class="accordion_toggle"><strong>Marty Von Neudegg</strong> - Director of Corporate Services & General Counsel</h4> <div class="accordion_content"> <img src="/publisher_page_images/0000/0125/about-family-admin-neudegg.jpg" class= "float_left" title="about-family-admin-neudegg" alt="Marty von Neudegg - CMH Director of Corporate Services & General Counsel" /><p>Marketing master, fixer, creative guy, raconteur extraordinaire, and legal counsel – this guy does it all and he does it with chutzpah. Marty is responsible for CMH's marketing and all pre trip details that impact our guests. A life-long Banff boy, Marty was a ski racer and tennis instructor, and earned a law degree at the University of Calgary. He joined CMH in 1986, after a 3-year stint behind a desk in a local law office and now claims to have the best job in the world –compared to most lawyers, he's probably right!</p> </div> <h4 class="accordion_toggle"><strong>André Cartier</strong> - Controller</h4> <div class="accordion_content"> <img src="/publisher_page_images/0000/0126/about-family-admin-cartier.jpg" class= "float_left" title="about-family-admin-cartier" alt="Andre Cartier - CMH Controller" /><p>Originally from Quebec, André answered the call of the West in 1996 to spend a season skiing in Whistler, B.C. Several years and several IS and Accounting positions later, he and his family moved to Banff in January 2007 to join CMH as Controller. He is a Certified Managerial Accountant and in the past has been a ski instructor and ski coach, as well as a windsurfing and sailing instructor. André is an accomplished skier and mountain biker, and enjoys all the outdoor mountain activities Banff offers.</p> </div> <h4 class="accordion_toggle"><strong>Connie MacDonald</strong> - Director of People</h4> <div class="accordion_content"> <img src="/publisher_page_images/0000/0127/about-family-admin-macdonald.jpg" class= "float_left" title="about-family-admin-macdonald" alt="Connie MacDonald - CMH Director of People" /><p>Connie joined CMH in 2003, after nine years at The Banff Centre, to manage our public relations and internal communications. In 2008 Connie moved into a new role becoming the first Director of People at CMH. Her new responsibilities focus on recruiting, retaining and developing the very best team of people to deliver outstanding mountain experiences to our guests. A long-time Banff resident, Connie is an active community member and a passionate mountain gal who thrives on all that the Bow Valley has to offer.</p> </div> <h4 class="accordion_toggle"><strong>Dave Butler</strong> - Director of Sustainability</h4> <div class="accordion_content"> <img src="/publisher_page_images/0000/0128/about-family-admin-butler.jpg" class= "float_left" title="about-family-admin-butler" alt="Dave Butler - CMH Director of Sustainability" /><p>Dave jumped ship from the provincial government in 1997 to join CMH. He now manages our government relationships and land tenures. A registered professional biologist and forester, Dave also supervises our Second Nature program and is actively involved in staff training. Dave is also known as our resident fly-fishing expert and we count on him for the latest hockey news.</p> </div> <h4 class="accordion_toggle"><strong>Nicole Koester</strong> - Reservations Manager</h4> <div class="accordion_content"> <img src="/publisher_page_images/0000/0129/about-family-admin-koester.jpg" class= "float_left" title="about-family-admin-koester" alt="Nicole Koester - CMH Reservations Manager" /><p>Nicole moved to Canada from Germany in 1996 and joined CMH for the 1997 winter season as part of our Calgary Meet and Greet team. She then moved to the Banff office and worked the switchboard for 2.5 years before joining the Reservations team. Along the way she also dabbled as a bus escort and helped with the Million Foot program. Nicole's experience makes her an exceptional guest service ambassador, which serves her well in her new job as Reservations manager. An avid skier, mountain biker and traveler, Nicole is also a key member of our <a href="../stewardship/second-nature">Second Nature</a> team.</p> </div> <h4 class="accordion_toggle"><strong>Russ Peardon</strong> - Director of IS</h4> <div class="accordion_content"> <img src="/publisher_page_images/0000/0142/about-family-admin-peardon.jpg" class= "float_left" title="about-family-admin-peardon" alt="Russ Peardon - CMH Director of IS" /><p>A.K.A. the Boomerang – Russ began his career with CMH in 1993 but after 10 years as our director of IS he left to pursue a personal business opportunity. Fast-forward to summer 2008. After five years in a CMH-free zone, successfully developing his own products and working as a consultant, Russ re-joined our company as director of IS for part 2 of his CMH career. His excitement at returning to our team is gratifying and heartening and matched equally by everyone at CMH. A software wiz, mountain biker, photographer, musician and all around great guy, Russ is our favourite recruiting success story.</p> </div> </div>
