It was the summer of '78 when CMH founder Hans Gmoser and mountain guides Kiwi Gallager, Kobi Wyss and Ernst Buehler launched Heli-Hiking in the Cariboo Mountains.
The same bonding that we had observed with the powder skiers -- that glue that brings all these people together from sharing what they had experienced in the mountains -- was working. Arthur and Hans were the architects of an experience that enhanced and sometimes changed their lives for ever, and rekindled the dreams that reside in so many of us.
